Memorial Day: A day of Rememberance

So as you may know, it has been a few weeks since I have made a post. My excuse is that my computer had a dozen viruses on it and so I finally gave in and had my computer tech guy fix it and make it healthy again.

As I type this posting right now, it is Memorial Day. I challenge each and every one of you to go out and remember those you have lost and loved very much. That is what I plan on doing with my day and hopefully be able to go visit them at their graves. Also I will enjoy my day off from work and get some things done that I have neglected to do for awhile. I haven't cleaned my car all year so that is what I plan on doing in the afternoon.

My parents have been out of town so I have been taking care of the house and have done some lawn maintenance and cleaning inside the house as well. It has also been extremely quiet with them gone, but it gives me a chance to just be with me and relax. They will be back tonight and I can't wait to see them.

Work has been going great. Things have been a little slow and for me that is okay. I am learning a lot and hopefully will take it on with me into the future. The youth group is amazing as ever. I have been doing the teachings and I pray that the kids are taking something out of it. Young Adult Group is so much fun. 2nd Thessalonians is a great book and I hope to take a lot out of it when we finish the study.

Well that is all for now. I really need to get to bed. May the Lord be your comfort as you remember those loved ones you have all lost today. God bless you all.

No Pain, No Gain

Well here I am again to give you my results from the Spokane, WA Bloomsday road race. Drum role please, 1.34.56. So that is 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 56 seconds. I was so proud of myself. The time is one of my best times ever. I am really proud of myself.

As today is the next day, my body really feels it. I gave my body a beating so tonight I gave it a rest. My quads hurt the most, sot getting up out of chairs is hard but I will be fine soon. So that is how I feel. Nothing is going to stop me from continuing my journey to becoming more strong and fit. So it is back to running and weight lifting tomorrow.

Now this just in, Spokane, WA will be hosting the 2010 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships. Yeah, yeah, and yeah. For those who don't know, that is the year of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC. This is just so exciting. Until next time, stay strong and stand firm in whatever you do.

Long and waited update

Hello to all of you who actually read this. It has been an amazing couple of weeks and I have been so busy that I can finally sit down and tell you what has been happening with me. Last weekend was our college retreat and oh wow it was totally refreshing and just a blast to hang out with my friends. The weather was awesome. The place were we usually have it is by a river and I was tempted to jump in but the river was really cold. We did things like go hiking, running, basketball, watch movies, eat, and much more. The whole purpose to go learn from what the Lord has in store for us. To be able to bask in the presence of the Almighty Living God is so refreshing. I wish I could have this weekend every weekend. Now that we are back, we will be continuing our bible study and now the book of 2nd Thessalonians is next. I can't wait for the things that God has for me in this little three chapter book.

Like always, Monday came around and back to work I went. Work has been going well. One of my coworkers has actually taken me out and I have seen all of our rental properties so when people call about them, I can give them directions on how to get there. Next week should be very busy which will make the week go by fast. I can't wait to hopefully learn some new things.

Finally, today in Spokane, WA we had our annual road race called Bloomsday. Bloomsday is a 7.46 mile/12k race. At the end you get a t-shirt. It is so much fun to do but right now as I type, my legs are really sore. When I find out my actually time then I will let you know. Well that is all for now. I pray that God blesses you abundantly this week. I will post much sooner next time. Until then, keep your eyes fixed on Christ.
