Where Have I Been?

It has been a long time since I wrote my last post and I apologize for that. I have been extremely busy with life. I have done so many things that I need to get you up-to-date. So with out further or due, here we go.

I will start off with church activities. In May, I had my 6 year anniversary of drumming on the worship team and I love it. As always, I still teach the children of the flock in our Sunday School Program. Youth Group is staying consistent. We have fun anytime that we meet. Have decided to take August off just to give us a break so we can gear back up for the Fall. I finished a bible study on the book of Ephesians and that was amazing and this fall are going to do 1 Corinthians and am looking forward to that, plus a study on the Constitution. Young Adult Group is going great. Those nights are just an amazing time to fellowship with my friends. We are still finishing up our study on the book of Genesis and also doing a study on Jesus. We did have our summer bash with great food and fellowship. Now we are all helping out with two friends who are getting married soon. Church life is going great and I love were I am at right now with it.

I did make a turning point change to my life just after 4th of July. I quit my job as the stress of it was becoming both emotionally and physically draining on my life. So right now I am looking for any job and trusting the plan and path that God has for me. I have no regrets from the job and the people and company have been nothing but amazing towards me. I wish the company continued success as they shine Christ's light into the world. As I look for a job God has continued to provide for me through house sitting opportunities as people go on vacations this summer.

An update on my car accidents. I have been pain free since April, with a little stiffness in my back at times, but overall have been doing very well. I try to increase my activity level all the time. Negotiations have started on settlements and I just trust the Lord that whatever he wants me to get out of this will be His will.

I can't leave out Gonzaga Basketball from this post. Both the men's and women's teams had great success this season. I love being a season ticket holder to the women and going and cheering them on at the home games. I have been able to develop friendships with the players. I did follow them to Seattle, WA and Sacramento, CA for the NCAA tournament. The women's team made it to the Sweet 16 and the men to the 2nd round. These times/memories in my life are priceless and I can't wait until this season comes around in November.

I have been blessed so much this year with the amount of traveling that I have been able to do. I have been over to Seattle area twice with a third time planned for this upcoming weekend, two trips to Sacramento, CA for NCAA tournament and a cousin's wedding, a few day trips, and the best trip of all was to Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Each trip has been amazing and so much fun to go on. (An all pictures post will be next with all pictures from Gonzaga Basketball and my trips.)

So there you have it. Busy, busy, busy, yes indeed, but I have enjoyed it all the time. Well that is all for now. Look for the picture post next and I promise to not make it as long between each post next time. Love you all and pray Christ's blessing on each of you. Until next time.

Gonzaga University Bulldogs Basketball!!!!!

Hello to all of my fans who read my blog and I am truly grateful to all of you and thank you so very much. I did promise that my next post would be all about Gonzaga Basketball. I will start out with the men's team and end with the women's team.

The men's team has been a big surprise for me. I thought this was going to be a rebuilding year for the program with loosing 5 seniors and gaining a lot of younger players who don't have much college experience. That doesn't seem to be the case at all. The season has felt like the team left off were they did last season. The younger players are playing really well. They are gaining more and more experience after each game. They are so much fun to watch. As always the men's played a tough and demanding non-conference schedule. They beat some really good teams and lost to some good teams as well. The most important memory of the season so far was winning the Maui Invitational over Thanksgiving. Third times a charm for them. Right now the only starter this season who is a senior is Matt Bouldin who is still playing some great basketball. He is solid and has this team on his shoulders. Overall this team is playing some great team basketball right now so come March Madness look for this team to be very competitive. Right now they are 3-0 in the WCC and 15-3 overall. Keep checking back for more highlights throughout the rest of the season and definitely during conference tournament and NCAA tournament.

My favorite team right now has to be the Gonzaga Women's basketball team. This team is going to be the Cinderella team in March for sure. There is so much talent and experience that makes every home game experience a blast. I haven't missed a home game this year as my parents and I are season ticket holders. We sit in the section right next to the tunnel were they come out of. Our section has become the favorite of the team. The team has nicknamed us the "Rock & Roll" section. Each game the cute little girls that sit behind me and have become my friends want to get there shirts autographed after every game. I keep track for them so they get all players autographs. After a couple of games of I came up with an idea that has been totally amazing. I decided to make a checklist. So after they sign the shirts, they mark there name off on the checklist. Now it is expected of my to make the checklist from the girls and the players. Coach has even told me that I am his #1 fan. It is so much fun. Overall the team is so much fun. They bring back a lot of talent with 2 WCC players of the year and jst a great group that has great chemistry. Favorite player this year for me this is Tiffanie Shives. She is such an inspiration who has been through so much diversity so it shows that anything is possible. So just like the guys team, check back often for more highlights from conference play, conference tournament and the NCAA tournament.

Pictures to be posted from a girls game very soon. Many blessings to you all and keep it real.

Happy New Years in 2010

Another year has gone and a new one of now upon us. Let me recap the year 2009 for you all. First it started off with me still in training at my new job as an accounting assistant at Sterling International, Inc. I can't believe that I have been there just over a year now. I love doing my job and the Lord has truly blessed the company with having the best year in the history of the company regardless of how the economy is doing. Also I continue to help with the Youth Group which is a total blast. We continue to pray for more kids and growth, but our hearts desires is to grow closer to Christ. One few topics that we have and are still discussing are the life of David, remaining in Christ (John 15) and many others. I also have been involved in bible studies, whenever they are offered, and it has included Titus and our third installment of the book of Genesis. Each one has been so much fun with learning more about the word of God and also meeting new friends. It is so much fun. There was one major event that happened this year over the summer. I bought a new car, 2004 Honda CRV and the day before the car came into Spokane, I was rear ended and my old 1990 Honda Civic was totaled. Since then, I have been in Physical Therapy and Chiropractor and am still in both of them today. My injury was to my neck and TMJ in the jaw. I have been doing so well until the first night of December when on my way home from the Chiropractor that I was rear ended in my CRV. The car was not totalled, just needed a new bumper and piping. Thank the Lord that it didn't flare up the 1st injury, but hurt/stiffened my lower back. So right now I am doing double dose of PT and Chiro for both injuries. Throughout both of these accidents I have learned more patience and also gained some great amazing new friends through PT and Chiro. So there you have it on the year 2009 for me, it was a different year and I am so grateful that the Lord has gotten me through it and stuck by me the entire time.

Now here are my goals for the year 2010.

1. First and foremost, I want to go to the next level in my relationship with the Lord. I want to make more time for him by worshiping more, reading my bible more, and most of all praying more. Like King David, I want to be a person that is after the heart of God.

2. Being more efficient in my job. I want to be an asset to the company and by doing that, I need to take all advice that my boss and others give me and also become more skillful so that I can help out in more ways than last year. I am truly grateful for my job and thank God every day that I have job during this time.

3. Due to my car accidents, my activity level has dropped a lot and I have put some weight back on. Now is the time to buckle down and get my head in the game and get back to eating healthy and exercising more. I have the resources to do it so now it is all up to me.

So there are my top three goals for this year 2010. I pray that this year is amazing and prosperous for everyone. May God bless each and everyone of you as we take on the next decade.

Now stay tuned for a sports update that is long overdue regarding the Northwest area sports teams.
