Events That I Went To This Week

So this week, I went to a few events that I wanted to share with you about. First of all my cousin Shawn is the bass/banjo/piano player for a Christian band called Esterlyn. They came to Spokane for a concert and he graciously got us free tickets to the concert. Here are a couple of pictures from the concert.

Here is Shawn playing the bass during the concert

Here is Shawn and I just before the concert started.

This weekend, I mean yesterday, I was able to go down and see a really good friend of mine play basketball down in Lewiston, ID. My friends plays for Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT and they came to play Lewis and Clark State College and lost a close one but it was still fun to see her as I haven't seen her for over a year.

Then that night, my parents, friend Miranda and I went to the Gonzaga Men's Basketball game versus Pepperdine. It was a lot of fun. I wanted to get my picture taken with my favorite player, Matt Bouldin but he wasn't available after the game. Hopefully one day it will happen when God does a devine appointment. Here are some pictures from before the start of the game. Now If you see a curly haired boy then that is Matt Bouldin. Then I will actually post his picture from the Gonzaga website.

So that is all that is new with me. Today I am able to do absolutely nothing besides go to church which was really nice. So tomorrow starts another day/week of work so I will wrap this up. Hope all is well with you. May God bless you during this week.

Happy Valentines Day

Well hello to everybody who reads this blog. I know that it has been a very, very long time since I last posted and I am truly sorry about that. I have been extremely busy with all of the things that have happening in my life. Let me update you.

Last time I wrote, we had been drowned in lots of snow. In this season, Spokane has had roughly 82 inches of snow. The record is like 91 inches. In the early part of the season, I thought we would break it but we haven't yet and it hasn't snowed in a while and I don't know when the next time it will snow.

My bible studies have been so much fun and I have learned a lot. The book of Genesis is incredible and it has challenged me so much. I am just about finished with the bible study on Covenant and that was amazing. I don't want it to end. I have definitely learned about how to have a covenant relationship with God. I also finished a bible study called The Truth Project and that study has helped me create the biblical world view that we should have. The next bible study I have starting up this Spring is all on Jesus and I am totally excited about that one. There is also Youth Group which has been fun. We have been teaching the kids about the different parts of the body and how they relate to the bible. Also my friend who is the other leader just took them to a conference in Portland, OR called Gen Unleashed and they had a fun time. I couldn't go because of my job.

Speaking of my job, that is going extremely well. I have been learning so much. I have almost conquered the entire job description with some fine tuning left to do. I enjoy my job very much. My true test comes with the next two weeks because my supervisor is out of town I she will not be there to answer my questions and I will have to troubleshoot all by myself. I am a little bit nervous, but with God's love and grace, I will be alright.

Christmas last year was awesome. My brother and his family were here and we had a lot of fun playing in the snow, play games and just being with one another. I am sorry that I don't have any pictures to show, but one day soon I will post just about my three adorable nieces and I will post lots of pictures. I hope to go visit them down in Colorado Springs, Colorado this Spring.

Lastly, let me update you on the Gonzaga Woman's Basketball team. Right now they are 21-5 overall and 9-1 in the West Coast Conference. This season has been a crazy one with my favorite player having an injury and having to sit out 6 long weeks. My favorite player Jami Schaefer (Bjorklund) tore a part of her PCL in her knee. I was shocked and saddened for her. She has now returned to action and the minutes that she plays are very critical ones. During the stretch that she was out, her sister, Angie's team, the University of Tennessee came to town meaning legendary coach Pat Summit was coming to town. I had a goal of getting my picture taken with her. Well I accomplished the goal and the picture is posted below.

Well it isn't the best picture of me, but Pat Summit is in the picture and that is all that counts.

Now that is it from my front. I hope to post again much sooner then later. May God bless you as you go on with your lives. Also Happy Valentines Day.
