Happy 4th of July and an Update

I know that I don't write as often as I should, but please understand life has been extremely busy lately.

I was able to take a wonderful relaxing extra long weekend with my parents to visit some of our family done in Nampa, Idaho just outside of Boise, Idaho. I had a blast and still wish that I was there. Some events that we did were, tubing the Boise River, playing cards, going to the movies, going on drives to see the old places that my parents lived, going to a birthday party, motorcycle ride with my Uncle Ted (mom side) and much more. My uncle Don (dad side) turned 65 on Sunday and we had a grand time at his party. I got to see all of my cousins both 1st and 2nd. We had a good time catching up. The movie we saw was Get Smart with Anne Hathaway, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Steve Carrell and I totally recommend it. Then we had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and the food was outstanding. My family loves playing card games so we played cards every night. I thoroughly enjoyed going on our drives to see all the places where my parents got married, lived, or for my mom grew up. I just love hearing about all of their memories from back in the days. Today just before leaving my Uncle Ted gave me a ride on his motorcycle and I loved it. Maybe one day I will own one myself.

Lastly my favorite outing was on the 4th of July when my family and I went tubing down the Boise River. It did end up getting a little dangerous in a way that I had never expected. Towards the end of the ride, I got stuck in some trees and was thrown from my tub. It was very scary. When I was in the water, all I could think of was keep my head up so people could see me. The current threw me into a branch and I have some nice huge bruises on my thighs but the branch saved my life. Some generous people picked me up and allowed me to go in their raft and dropped me off where my family had stopped. I was extremely shaken up. My legs still hurt but I know that I will heal very soon. I am alive and well, living life.

Now it is back to work and to start counting down the days until my trip to California at the end of the month. Next post will have pictures from the trip and be much more in depth. Now it is time to sign off as I do have to head back to work in the morning so may God bless you in a way you have never seen before this week.
